MOTOR BIKIINGMotor Biking in Himachal and leh Ladakh region is a pilgrimage for bikers. its a challenge which every biker would like to face. This is the business of taming the mountains of harsh cold desert, dealing with low oxygen level, riding through extremely narrow- bad and dusty roads with several hell freezing stream crossings.

Yet we negotiate it all when we have Enfield Bikes. Every morning when sound of the bike roars it gives a new confidence to face next challenge.

Western Himalayan Mountain ranges offers some fascinating experience. The biggest attraction is riding over the highest mountain pass of world, lush green valleys, high altitude plateau, majestic rivers, lakes, cold desert landscapes and villages through which you can imbibe the culture and heritage of the region.

ITINERARY

DAY 01 – Shimla
Briefing about the tour and short ride around Shimla in effort to know and get familiar with bike and riding condition on hill roads.. o/n in hotel.

Day 02 – Shimla to Sarahan. 176km 2165m
Today we riding on Hindustan Tibet Highway towards Rampur and to Sarahan home of the presiding deity of the rulers of former Bushahar state.. o/n in hotel.

Day 03 – Sarahan to Sangla. 95km 2680m
Today riding along the Satluj river we enter in Kinnour valley, famous for its culture ,tradition and fruits. Sangla is a beautiful village in Baspa valley. o/n in hotel.

Day 04 – Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa. 103km 2900m
A short ride to Chitkul a quant village of Baspa valley offering great view of valley and snow clade mountains ,back to Sangla for lunch and again riding along the Satluj river to reach Kalpa .o/n in hotel.

Day 05 – Kalpa
Kalpa is a picturesque village, once was favourite haunt of Lord Dalhousie the then governor general of India. Looming in front of Kalpa is an impressive view of Kinner Kailash peak. Day will be spend arranging inner line permit required for foreign visitors and for giving the motorcycle thorough check up for the journey ahead. o/n in hotel.

Day 06 – Kalpa to Tabo. 170km 3050m
As we ride again along the satluj river landscape changes slowly from green to rugged and valley gets narrower till we reach Nako. Before Nako we pass by the confluence of Satluj and Spiti river at Khab. Afternoon visit to 1000yr old Tabo monastery . famous for its wall paintings and stucco images. o/n in hotel.

Day 07 – Tabo – Dankar – Lalung – Kaza. 75km 3600m
Today we ride on dusty road to visit Dankar monastery , built on hill ,once was a kings castle. Lalung is a small remote village in Lingti valley famous for its 1000yr old monastery founded by Rinchen Zangpo. Famous for its four sided faced statue of lord Budha and stucco images of Bodhistbas . o/n in hotel at Kaza.

Day 08 – Kaza – Ki – Kibber – Kaza. 36km 4205m
Kaza is the headquarter of Spiti sub division, to day we will ride to Visit Ki monastery famous for its architecture ,musical instruments and bodhist scripture ‘Thangur’. After short visit we ride further to visit highest village connected by road in world Kibber. In winter temperature falls to -30 C in Kibber, It’s a base of Parangla trek. . o/n in hotel at Kaza..

Day 09 – Kaza to Chandrataal. 80km 4270m
Riding coutininue in Spiti valley we cross over the mighty Kunzum pass (4551m)the highest pass on the tour ,w e enter in Chandra valley another rugged barren mountain and dusty road. We ride 13km more towards Chandrataal ,high altitude mountain lake in Himachal situated amidst the barren and sun burned brown mountains. o/n in camp.

Day 10 – Chandrataal to Manali. 128km 2050m
We head down to Chandra valley till we reach Gramphoo , where we meet Manali Leh high way, the highest motor able road in the world. After crossing the mighty Rohtang pass the gate way to Lahoul,Spiti and Leh landscape changes dramatically, its lush green beauty and moisture in the air gives relief to body and soul. An Happy evening in Manali to have a good massage. o/n in Hotel.
